SUMMER CAMP 2025

In September 2025 (September 1st-September 14th), a two-week Confucius Institute summer camp is planned to be held in China. In addition to Chinese language and Chinese culture courses, students will visit the Giant Panda Breeding Base, the Sanxingdui Museum of Ancient Shu Culture, the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation System, the Leshan Giant Buddha, the Tibetan villages in Jiuzhaigou and enjoy the night view of the mountain city of Chongqing. The participants will also experience traditional culture of hotpot and Sichuan opera, the culture of the Three Kingdoms, and the Taoist culture of Mount Qingcheng.

The eligibility criteria for summer camp participants are as follows:

a. Participants must hold Slovak or EU nationality, be aged between 18 and 30 by August 2025, and must submit a photocopy of the personal passport photo page after successful registration.

b. Participants must take the HSK exam (levels HSK1-HSK6) organized online in cooperation with Sichuan Normal University in May 2025. For all participants there will be held intensive language course after April 10 consisting of 32 hours (45 mins) in total, held four times a week per 90mins. During the Easter break, the course will be held online. The total cost for tuition is 100 euros, payable online to the Confucius Institute account by April 10, 2025.

c. Participants are responsible for their own round-trip international airfare Vienna ↔ Chengdu.

d. During their stay in China, expenses for study, travel, accommodation, transportation, breakfast, and dinner will be covered by the cooperating Chinese partner school.

The registration ends March 31. Please note that it is possible to attend the camp only once in three years.
