End and Conference Evaluation (11.40-11.50)

Teaching Chinese Language in Slovakia and Czechia (formerly Czecho-Slovakia) has long tradition. In Slovakia, systematic academic study of Chinese language and culture is possible at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University as of 1988. Since that time, the Department of East Asian Studies produced dozens of graduates – competent interpreters, translator or teachers of Chinese language.

The conference is a meeting of teachers, university pedagogues, translators and interpreters of Chinese language, who can share their pedagogical, translating or interpreting experience. The aim of the conference is to share knowledge and exchange know-how in order to improve Chinese language education on all levels, be it in language schools, primary or secondary schools, as well as university level or courses organised by the Confucius Institute. In addition to this, the exchange of knowledge and know-how shall improve the quality of translation and interpretation into/from Chinese language.
